In a post-apocalyptic wasteland where water and gasoline are the most precious commodities, a woman named Imperator Furiosa rebels against a tyrannical ruler to free his five wives. She teams up with Max Rockatansky, a drifter haunted by his past, as they flee across the desert in a massive armored truck. The resulting high-octane "road war" is a relentless chase sequence that explores themes of redemption and survival in a broken world.

This effort is a maelstrom that is visually impressive and the creative gaudiness is off the charts in true "Mad Max" fashion.
